The action of fluconazole against C.glabrata is poor (MIC 8-64 mg/L) and against Candida kruzei insufficient (MIC >32 mg/L). Susceptibility testing of  these species is not warranted.

Candida glabrata with MIC <32 mg/L may be available for therapy with high fluconazole dosages.
