Target MIC ranges (internationally agreed in ISO
reference) and zone diameters.
In bold - ranges recently altered (2006-06-07).
| Antibiotic | MIC (mg/L) | Disc (µg) | ISA (mm) |
| Penicillin V | 32-128 | 10 | 9-14 |
| Ampicillin | 2-8 | 10 | 19-25 |
| Loracarbef | 64-256 | 30 | 19-25 |
| Cefuroxim | 8-32 | 30 | 14-18 |
| Cefotaxim | 0,12-0,5 | 5 | 28-36 |
|
Chloramphenicole |
- | 30 | 34-40 |
| Tetracyklin | 8-64 | 30 | 17-21 |
| Ciprofloxacin | 0.008-0.032 | - | - |
| Trimethoprimsulfamethoxazole | 0.5-2 | 1.2-23.8 | 35-41 |
* Chromosomally mediated
betalactam resistance and resistance to tetracycline. For
loracarbef and penicillin V it is typical with a fuzzy edge and gradually
receding growth in the inhibition zone. The ampicillin zone has a sharp edge.
